Welcome to the Caribbean Corner at New College of Florida!
This site is the result of
the individual and collective work of the Advanced Spanish class for the
Caribbean Literature course. As part of the class requirements, each student had
to select and study an author from the class syllabus. The project consisted of:
doing research about the author’s life and work, analyze one or several of his/her
literary texts, and read critical pertinent critical bibliography. In addition
to their written contribution for the site, each student made
an oral
presentation to the class about their chosen author. These
students' interest in the
study of Spanish language and its literature is particularly meritorious when
one reflects that the majority of them are not Spanish majors. We hope you find
the web site information useful. For questions or comments you may contact: slabrador@ncf.edu
