Changing Passwords

It is recommended that you change your password at least once per month. If you suspect that someone has your password change it immediately.

Note: It is very important that you keep your password secure. Do not give your password out to anyone and be careful not to allow anyone to watch while you enter your password. NEVER write your password on a post-it note and stick it on your monitor!

Notice: If it is suspected that someone, other than the legitimate user, is accessing an account; the account will be suspended immediately.

Changing your windows and network passwords

(This procedure is used by faculty and staff on their office computers to change our windows and network password)

Follow the instructions below very carefully and you should not have any problems.

1. Log in to your computer in the usual manner.
  2. Hit "Ctrl" + "Alt" + "Del"
  3. Select the "Change Password" button
  4. Type in your old password
  5. Type in the new password and then retype it again in the next box
  6. Click OK
