Yes. All members of the New College of Florida Police Department (NCFPD) are state certified police officers, receiving their authority via Florida Statute 1012.97. We are vested with the same authority as the members of local police departments. We are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Contact the police department by dialing 4210 from a campus phone or 941-487-4210 from an outside line. If you are near a blue emergency phone, simply pick up and you will automatically be connected to the police. In an emergency, dial 911 from any phone.

Once connected, please:

  • State the nature of the emergency or your call
  • Clearly identify yourself
  • Give your exact location
  • Describe any suspects as accurately as possible

Call the police. Describe what you have seen so that we may decide the proper course of action to be taken. If you are unsure, do not be afraid to call. If you wish, you may remain anonymous.

Yes. Call 941-487-4210 (or 4210 from a campus phone) or pick up one of the blue emergency phones to get assistance. An officer will respond as soon as one is available.

Fingerprinting services are offered to NCF and USF students, staff, faculty, and alumni. You must bring a valid driver’s license, passport, or government-issued photo ID, and your own fingerprint card. This service is performed free of charge by appointment only.

Campus Police offers notary services free of charge by appointment only.

No. Parking Services handles all permit purchases, replacements, payments for citations, and appeals. Parking Services is located at PMD 123 phone number 941-487-4626 and is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Visitors must go to Parking Services to obtain a Temporary Parking Pass during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Campus Police issues Temporary Parking Passes to visitors who are not required to purchase an annual parking permit after regular business hours only.  Please bring your valid driver’s license and valid vehicle registration to the Campus Police Department to receive a Temporary Parking Pass. This pass will be valid for a maximum of five days.  Permits for longer than five days must be obtained through Parking Services.

Students are allowed to invite guests to New College. Students will be accountable for any actions or conduct of their guests pursuant to the New College of Florida Student Code of Conduct.

If the guest is staying overnight, for an extended period of time or simply won’t be in the company of their student sponsor at all times, then it is suggested they obtain a Guest Pass from Campus Police. The student must bring their New College ID along with their guest to the Campus Police Department to obtain the Guest Pass. The guest must produce a valid government-issued photo ID.

The Guest Pass will be valid for a maximum of four days. If a longer stay is requested, the student must contact Student Affairs.

The New College Police Department handles all bicycle registrations. To register your bicycle, please fill out the online registration form and bring it with your bike to Campus Police.  If your bicycle becomes lost or stolen, having registered it through NCFPD will aid in its recovery and return. By registering your bicycle, you are automatically entered into the Bicycle Anti-Theft (BAT) Program.

The New College Police Department handles all laptop registrations. To register your laptop, please fill out the online registration form and bring it with your laptop to Campus Police.  If your laptop becomes lost or stolen, having registered it through NCFPD will aid in its recovery and return.

All found items should be turned into the police as soon as possible. You may call or come into the NCFPD office to inquire about all lost items 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

If you have lost the key to your lock and need it cut off your bicycle, contact Campus Police by dialing (941) 487-4210 or 4210 from a campus phone.
