The Language Resource Center (LRC) is part of the Academic Resource Center (ARC) located on the first floor of the Jane Bancroft Cook library. It is designed to provide resources and support to language students and faculty. Audio-visual and print resources, language software, and games are available. The LRC is also a social space where students can work individually or in groups as well as relax or interact with each other.
Resources The LRC has a growing collection of CDs, DVDs, games, books and reference materials. Cable and satellite programming in Chinese, French, German and Spanish are available on all ARC TVs. Reference Reference materials are located on the shelves next to the ARC seminar room and are available for consultation within the center. LRC items can be pulled up by using the Advanced Search in the Cook Library catalog. The category has been added under "Location." Equipment The LRC is equipped with several open-use computers and 2 recording booths. Students, faculty and staff can also check out audio and video equipment. Services In conjunction with ETS and audio-visual services, the LRC offers a variety of services to students, faculty and staff. Library Guides A series of guides presenting selected sources (databases, journals, and reference resources) available in Cook Library or the USF Libraries web site for French, German, Russian and Spanish studies. Web Resources Professional organizations, newpapers and live TV and radio from around the world, and online resources to enhance language learning. Seminar Room
