Intercollegiate Sports Disclosure Notice for New College of Florida for FY 2010-11, per the High Education Opportunity Act
Under a 2008 amendment to the Higher Education Opportunity Act (HEOA), New College of Florida (NCF) is required to provide information on intercollegiate sports from the prior fiscal year (FY) to the U.S. Department of Education, and to current and prospective students. Current and prospective students have the right to request a written copy of this information, and may do so by emailing NCF Fitness and Recreation Director Colin Jordan at email@example.com, or by calling the Fitness Center at 941-487-4218.
Compliance Statement for NCF Athletics
In FY 2010-11, NCF had an undergraduate enrollment of 801. NCF is a member of the South Atlantic Intercollegiate Sailing Association (SAISA), and the college has one co-ed, varsity intercollegiate sailing team. In FY 2010-2011, the team had a total of 25 members,15 of which were male, and 10 of which were female. Total operating expenses for the team in FY 2010-11 was $11,704.78, and the team has one male, part-time coach who is also a part-time staff member employed by NCF. The salary of the coach is $13,230.65, and NCF does not employ any assistant coaches. No funds are spent on athletic student aid, and no funds are spent on recruiting.
