New College is not just about academics. My friend put it well when he said that it's a total 'mind, body, spirit' experience.

Environmental Studies Program

The New College Environmental Studies Program (ESP) was founded in 1972. Since that time, nearly 200 students have graduated with environmental degrees, and many more have benefited from the environmental studies classes and projects. Today, the ESP supports a variety of student and community environmental projects, all of them stressing hands-on, interdisciplinary and regional work.

Use the links to the right to read about the program's history, get information on ESP graduates and see our annual reports.  You can view information on our sponsored projects or check out upcoming events on our announcement page.

Students can download the updated Area of Concentration requirements as well as the ESP Worksheet.  They can peruse a list of cross-listed courses and see a list of faculty who regularly teach courses in Environmental Studies.
