Returning to New College
|
To earn credit and satisfy your contract, New College must receive your
transcript from your host institution abroad. Mid-way near completion
of your studies, plan to visit the Registrar's office and request that
an official transcript be sent to New College upon completion of the
off-campus study. If there is no Registrar, talk with professors or
administrators to learn how to request your transcript. In some cases,
the document that we lknow as the "transcript" will have an official
name other than "transcript". If you bring your study-abroad transcript
with you instead of sending it to New College, the transcript must be sealed in an official envelope, otherwise, the New College Registrar cannot accept it.
Office of the Registrar New College of Florida PMD 115 5800 Bay Shore Road Sarasota, FL 34243-2109 USA Attention: Kathy Allen If you opt for the institution abroad to send the transcript to New College, get the name, title, mailing address, email, and phone number of the person to whom you make the request in case follow up calls and prompts are required after you return. W'hen the New College Registrar receives your transcript, the letter grades earned abroad and course names will appear on your New College transcript. Since most schools use letter grades, these will appear on your New College transcripts to provide a GPA and letter grades. Remember, a lag time in receipt of the transcript will delay awards of scholarship monies including Bright Futures. |
