Application Process & Tuition

Interested students should download the application by clicking HERE. Students should indicate their preference in course by labeling them #1 - #3. ONLY RATE COURSES YOU’RE INTERESTED IN TAKING. *** Students will take one course for the two-day Weekend. *** Students are placed in courses on a first-come, first-served basis. Courses fill up quickly, so please do not delay in sending in your application materials.

APPLICATIONS ARE DUE BY FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 8, 2013 CLOSE OF BUSINESS.

There are two options for Duke TIP Scholar Weekend students – you may participate as an overnight or day student.

Overnight Students: Tuition is $425. It includes: course materials, meals, transportation and lodging at the Hampton Inn & Suites located ½ mile from the College. Students are supervised overnight by professional and student New College Residence Life staff members.

Day Students: Tuition is $360. It includes: course materials, meals and transportation. Each student must ensure a parent or legal guardian is available for drop off/pick-up each day. Saturday’s schedule is 9am – 8:30pm. Sunday’s schedule is 8am – 5pm.

LIMITED FINANCIAL AID AVAILABLE. If you are interested in applying for financial aid, please check the appropriate box on the application and mail it along with your 2011 income tax return. Financial aid is based on the overall need of each Weekend’s applicant pool. Full scholarships are very rare.
