Professor Aijun Zhu joined the New College Faculty in Fall 2008, and is a tenure track Assistant Professor of Chinese Language and Culture in the Division of Humanities

Professor Zhu is excited about the opportunity to contribute to the development of a comprehensive program here at New College of Florida. Committed to excellence in teaching, she feels honored to be part of a growing program at a prestigious liberal arts college that emphasizes both language and culture, and encourages a strong rapport between faculty and students.

One of her major strengths is her extensive teaching experience in Chinese language, literature and culture. She has taught Elementary, Intermediate and Advanced Chinese in the past few years to both non-heritage and heritage students. Professor Zhu strongly encourages the use of target language in the classroom, promote learning through practice, and make sure that each student's needs should be addressed.
