Background: I've
worked in Admissions since ‘89. Outside of work, I run the campus
Origami Club, study Spanish (estoy aprendiendo la lengua muy
lentamente), participate in the campus Multicultural Club and the
Sarasota NAACP, and spend time with my family and my schipperke. My
favorite writers are David Sedaris and Orson Scott Card; my favorite
cartoonists are Lynda Barry and Alison Bechdel |

Campus
Highlight: FLORA AND FAUNA. Visit the camphor tree behind
College Hall, and crush a few leaves for the mothball smell of
them. Orchid trees line the walkway between Social Sciences and the
Four Winds Café—the sight and scent are glorious when they bloom.
Also by the Café, find tropical fruit trees and permaculture
projects planted by our student. Spend some time down by the
bay, where you can see fiddler crabs, horseshoe crabs, and
pair-diving pelicans and other birds. You may even spot a pair pileated
woodpeckers in the oak trees. In late spring, look for osprey
chicks (baby seahawks) in the huge nest behind the Pritzker Marine
Bio Lab. |
