that challenge here."

Biography:

What do you value most about studying at NCF?
The high expectations. There is no game playing with percentages, no tricking the professors into raising your grade and no whining when there is too much work. We are the honors college of Florida and we as students know the expectations and have high standards for ourselves. Professors are fair, and they are always available if you need help or guidance, but they will still expect you to keep up with the reading and turn in quality work. In fact, most professors that I have had expect better work from me every new semester. As a student I should be progressing and improving, and I really thrive off of that challenge here. I have never felt it anywhere else.

An example of what makes NCF so special?
My sister is here.

What internships, clinical's or class projects were especially important to your professional development?
Internship with Pretrial Services in the Sarasota County Jail

How would you rate your experience at NCF overall?
Amazing, I wouldn't have traded my time here for anything. I know that I have grown as a student, a woman and a person by coming to New College.

What are your plans for the future?
I plan on taking a few years off and then going to law school. I am applying to a few programs like Americore and Teach for America in the hopes that I can spend the next few years getting a better understanding of the "real world" before I finish my educational career. New College has been wonderful, but it can also be pretty insulating. I hope that by the time I attend law school I will have a better grasp on the world in which we live and how I can help make a difference in it.
