05/01/15, 6:18 p.m.: Campus Police received a report from a New College student regarding the theft of his longboard (skateboard) from the outside of his Pei Residence Hall South dorm room. The matter remains under investigation. (2015-0447)

04/25/15, 2:06 a.m.: Campus Police discovered a New College student in possession of marijuana in Palm Court. The student was referred to Student Affairs for a policy violation. A copy of the report will be sent to Student Affairs. (2015-0427)

04/01/15, 6:09 p.m.; Campus Police discovered an activated pull station alarm in the Dort Common area Room #103. Sarasota County Fire Department did not respond due to a miscommunication with the alarm company. The Physical Plant on-call staff member responded to reset the pull station and is investigating the problem with the alarm company. A copy of the report will be sent to Student Affairs, EHS and PHS Administration. (2015-0354)

03/16/15, 6:38 p.m.: Campus Police received a report from a New College student regarding a suspicious subject on the pedestrian overpass. Campus Police located the nonaffiliated subject who had previously been issued a no trespass order by Campus Police. The subject was arrested for trespass after warning and taken to the Sarasota County Jail.

03/14/15, 5:24 p.m.: Campus Police received a report from a New College student regarding the theft of her guitar from an area outside of B Residence Hall. There was no serial number available and the information could not be entered into the national database.

​03/02/​15, 5:12 p.m.: Campus Police received a report from a New College student regarding damage done to his vehicle over the weekend when it was parked in a campus parking lot. The incident was documented. A copy of the report will be sent to Student Affairs. (2015-0263)

02/25/15, 6:05 p.m.:Campus Police received a report from a New College student regarding the theft of his unlocked bike from the bike rack in front of Z Residence Hall. The bike was registered with the Campus Police bike program and the information was entered into the national database.

02/23/15, 1:21 p.m.: Campus Police received a report from a New College student regarding the theft of her unlocked bike from the bike rack in front of Goldstein Residence Hall. The bike was registered with the Campus Police bike program and the information was entered into the national database.

02/08/15, 1:36 a.m.: Campus Police discovered two New College students in Pei Residence Hall East who were in possession of a small amount of marijuana. The students were referred to Student Affairs. A copy of the report will be sent to Student Affairs. (2015-0176)

01/26/15, 9:54 a.m.: Campus Police received a report from a Campus CLC regarding a fire extinguisher that was believed to have been discharged in Pei Residence Hall West. The matter remains under investigation. A copy of the report will be sent to Student Affairs and Environmental Health and Safety. (2015-0144)

01/20/15, 6:41 p.m.: Campus Police received a report from a New College student regarding a suspicious subject in the area of Pei Residence Hall East. Campus Police located the subject on U.S. 41 in Manatee County. The nonaffiliated individual recently became a person of interest in the recent bike thefts from campus. The matter remains under investigation with the assistance of the Manatee County Sheriff's Office. Charges are pending for Providing a False Name to Law Enforcement. A copy of the report will be sent to Student Affairs. (2014-0112)

01/15/15, 12:27 p.m.: Campus Police received a report from a New College student that his bike had just been stolen from the area of Goldstein Residence Hall. A check of video in the area revealed the suspect had left eventually turning South on U.S. 41. The matter remains under investigation. A follow up to a previous theft alert email was sent out with a photo of the suspect. This information will be forwarded to local law enforcement.

01/13/15, 4:06 p.m.: Campus Police received a report of the theft of a New College student's locked bike located outside of Pei Residence Hall East. No serial number was available for entry into the national database. The matter remains under investigation.

01/12/15, 1:47 p.m.:  Campus Police received a report of a locked bike that was stolen from outside of Pei Residence Hall South.  The bike was not registered with Campus Police and the serial number was not entered into the national database.  The matter remains under investigation.

01/12/15, 1:47 p.m.:  Campus Police received a report of an unlocked bike that was stolen from the outside of Dort Residence Hall. The bike was not registered with Campus Police and the serial number was not entered into the national database.  The matter remains under investigation.

01/13/15, 12:45 a.m.:  Campus Police received a report of an unsecured bike that was stolen from outside of Y Residence Hall.  The bike was subsequently located in another area on campus and matter remains under investigation.

01/09/15, 1:29 p.m.: Campus Police received a report of a locked bike that was stolen over the holiday break from outside of Pei Residence Hall West.  The bike was registered with Campus Police and the serial number was entered into the national database.

01/10/15, 5:35 p.m.:  Campus Police received a report from a New College student regarding the theft of his unsecured bike from outside Pei Residence Hall West.  The bike was not registered with Campus Police and the information was not entered into the national database.

01/08/15, 5:11 p.m.: Campus Police received a report of camera equipment stolen from a room in W Residence Hall. The matter remains under investigation. A copy of the report will be sent to Student Affairs. (2015-0022).

01/08/15, 5:40 p.m.: Campus Police received a report of a bike that was stolen over the holiday break from a common area of Y Residence Hall. The bike was registered with Campus Police and the serial number was entered into the national database. The matter remains under investigation. A copy of the report will be sent to Student Affairs. 01/06/15, 12:35 a.m.: Campus Police received a report from a New College student regarding the theft of her locked bike from the area of Goldstein Residence Hall which occurred over the winter break. The bike was registered with the Campus Police bike program and the information was entered into the national database.

01/04/15, 5:30 p.m.: Campus Police received a report from a New College student regarding the theft of his locked bike from the bike rack in Pei Residence Hall East. 12/09/14, 8:39 a.m.: Campus Police received a report from a staff member in College Hall regarding the theft of a notebook computer sometime during the past month. The serial number was not available to enter into the national database. The matter remains under investigation. (2014-1023)

11/23/14, 12:34 a.m.: Campus Police received a report from a New College student regarding criminal mischief to the restroom doors in Hamilton Center. There are no suspects at this time and the incident was documented A work order was completed to PHS for repairs. A copy of the report will be sent to Student Affairs.  (2014-0974)

11/19/14, 11:48 a.m.: Campus Police received found property from a New College Student's room discovered by a staff member. The item was tested and found to be a controlled substance. The matter remains under investigation. A copy of the report will be sent to Student Affairs and the CWC. (2014-0964)

11/02/14, 11:52 p.m.: Campus Police received a report from a New College Student regarding the theft of his locked bicycle from the ACE Building. The bike was registered with the Campus Police Anti-Theft Program and the information was entered into the national database. A suspect was observed taking the bike on video. The bike was located at a local pawn shop and the matter remains under investigation. (2014-0917)

10/31/14, 3:05 p.m.: Campus Police received a report from a staff member at the Sail Club regarding the theft of a kayak earlier in the month. There was no identifying information and the incident was documented. A copy of the report will be sent to Fitness Center Administration and Environmental Health and Safety. (2014-0897)

10/30/14, 4:54 p.m.: Campus Police was notified by a New College Staff Member that a subject needed to be issued a No Trespass Order if he should return to campus. The matter remains under investigation. A copy of the report will be sent to the appropriate persons. (2014-0895)

10/29/14, 11:04 p.m.: Campus Police stopped a non-affiliated subject for a traffic violation on the West Campus. Investigation revealed that a passenger in the car was in possession of marijuana. The driver was checked and issued a New College Traffic Warning and released. The passenger, a student at Ringling College of Art and Design, was arrested for Possession of Marijuana < 20 grams, issued a No Trespass Order and taken to Sarasota County Jail. A copy of the report will be sent to Ringling College Security. (2014-0893)

10/28/14, 3:06 p.m.: Campus Police received a report from a Staff Member at The Sail Club regarding the Theft of a locked boat from the Bayfront. The matter remains under investigation. A copy of the report will be sent to Student Affairs and Sail Club Staff. (2014-0886)

10/23/14, 9:06 p.m.: Campus Police received a report from a New College Staff Member regarding possible use of an illegal substance in the area of Dort Residence Hall. ​Campus Police located a subject who is a New College Student under the age of 21 who was found to be in possession of an alcoholic beverage. A student affairs referral has been completed and copies of the incident sent to Student Affairs & CWC for Violation of the New College of Florida Alcohol and Narcotics Policy. (2014-0870)

10/17/14, 10:08 p.m.: Campus Police received found property from a New College Student that appears to belong to a non-affiliated subject. The property had been found in the Sudakoff Parking Lot. While doing an inventory of the property, narcotics were found. The matter remains under investigation.

10/10/14, 2:52 p.m.: Campus Police received a report from a New College Staff member in PHS regarding damage to a door handle in Cook Hall. The incident was documented.

09/26/14, 1:52 a.m.: Campus Police received a report from a New College student regarding two suspicious subjects and a Battery involving the student and one of the subjects that occurred outside Pei Residence Hall East. Investigation revealed a non-affiliated subject had made physical contact with a New College student without her consent. The student was uninjured as the result of the contact and signed a Decline to Prosecute waiver. Campus Police located the two non-affiliated subjects who were checked, issued No Trespass Orders and released. A copy of the report will be sent to Student Affairs and the Counseling and Wellness Center. (2014-0779)

09/22/14, 3:23 p.m.: Campus Police received a report from a New College CLC in Pei Residence Hall South regarding a non-affiliated subject smoking what appeared to be marijuana from a pipe. Investigation revealed the substance to be marijuana. The non-affiliate (the guest of a New College Student) was arrested for Possession of Marijuana less than 20 grams and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The subject was issued a No Trespass Order and taken to Sarasota County Jail. The student sponsor was referred to Student Affairs for a Policy Violation. A copy of the report will be sent to Student Affairs. (2014-0769)

09/17/14, 1:55 PM: Campus Police received a report from a New College Staff member regarding an incident involving two students. The matter remains under investigation. A copy of the report will be sent to Student Affairs and the CWC. (2014-0752)

09/08/14, 5:22 AM: Campus Police received a report from a New College Student regarding the theft of his unsecured bike from outside of the Cook Library. The bike was registered with Campus Police and the serial number was entered into the National Crime Database. A copy of the report will be sent to Student Affairs and Library Administration. 07/07/14, 10:51 AM: Campus Police discovered graffiti in the covered walkway between College and Cook Hall. The incident was documented and a work order was completed. A copy of the report will be sent to Student Affairs. (2014-0729) Officer Severs. $50.00

08/29/14, 11:28 PM: Campus Police discovered a non-affiliated subject under the age of 21 near Hamilton Center in possession of alcohol. The subject, a student at the Ringling College of Art and Design, was issued a No Trespass Order and released. A copy of the report will be sent to Student Affairs and the Ringling College of Art and Design Public Safety Department. (2014-0683). Officer Mahaney.

08/28/14, 12:55 PM: Campus Police received a report from a New College Staff Member regarding a theft from an outside area of the Library Classrooms. The matter remains under investigation. A copy of the report will be sent to Student Affairs and Library Administration. (2014-0674)

08/23/14, 12:33 PM:  Campus Police received a report from a Staff Member at the USFSM/NCF Bookstore regarding a theft.  The matter remains under investigation.  A copy of the report will be sent to USFSM Administration.  (2014-0646)

08/24/14, 12:01 AM:  Campus Police discovered an underage New College student in possession of an alcoholic beverage.  The student was referred to Student Affairs for Underage Possession of Alcohol.  A copy of the report will be sent to Student Affairs and the CWC.  (2014-0651)

08/24/14, 2:06 AM:  Campus  Police responded to a fire alarm for the Pei Residence Hall East Lounge.  The Sarasota County Fire Department responded and investigation revealed that a fire extinguisher had been discharged causing the alarm to activate.  The matter remains under investigation.  A copy of the report will be sent to Environmental Health and Safety and Student Affairs.  (2014-0654)

06/14/14, 1:23 AM:  Campus Police discovered a suspicious subject in the area of the Academic Center Building.  The non-affiliated subject was checked and arrested for Loitering or Prowling, issued a No Trespass Order and taken to the Sarasota County Jail.  (2014-0489)

06/02/14, 3:40 PM: Campus Police received a call from a student advising that an unknown person(s) used his personal information to obtain a credit card. The investigation is on-going.

05/29/14, 5:08 PM: Campus Police received a report of the theft of property from a New College Staff Member. The item was removed from the area of the Sail Club. A copy of the report will be sent to Student Affairs. (2014-0463)

05/23/14, 2:15 PM:  Campus Police received a report of a burned couch on a third floor landing in Z Residence Hall.  The State Fire Marshall was contacted and started an investigation.  The investigation is continuing.  A copy of the report will be sent to Environmental Health and Safety, Physical Plant Administration, and Student Affairs.  Officer Walker.  $1100.00.

05/22/14, 3:48 AM:  Campus Police received a report from a New College Staff Member that a fire extinguisher had been expelled in a Pei South Residence Hall Room.  A copy of the report will be sent to Student Affairs and Physical Plant Administration.  (2014-0447)

05/21/14, 7:40 PM:  Campus Police received a report of a theft of a bike from a New College Student. The bike had been left unsecured near Z Residence Hall approximately one week ago. The bike was entered into the national crime database.

05/20/14, 3:06 PM:  Campus Police received a report from a New College Staff Member regarding the theft of a sign from the area of Dort Promenade. Campus Police discovered the sign had been damaged and was removed by a Custodial Staff Member and given to PHS for repair.  A copy of the report will be sent to Jono Miller and PHS Administration.  (2014-0444)

05/11/14, 2:53 AM: Campus Police received a report from a New College Student regarding the theft of her cell phone from the area of Goldstein Residence Hall. The serial number was not available and the incident was documented at this time. (2014-0418)

04/29/14, 4:10 AM: Campus Police discovered property damage near the fire road behind Physical Plant. Further investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by a non-affiliate had crashed into a pile of brick pavers stored near the roadway and then fled the scene. The Sarasota County Sheriff's Department subsequently stopped the vehicle on Lockwood Ridge Road. Campus Police brought the driver back to campus where he was issued a Traffic Citation for Careless Driving and a Criminal Traffic Citation for Leaving the Scene of a Traffic Crash. The driver was taken to the Sarasota County Jail and Campus Police are continuing the investigation. A copy of the report will be sent to Environmental Health and Safety and Physical Plant Administration. (2014-0377)

04/21/14, 3:00 PM: Campus Police received a report of a possible theft from the Sarasota Car Museum where the stolen property ended up on the New College Caples Campus. The theft may have been committed by one or more New College Students who also trespassed within the Physical Plant Compound. The matter remains under investigation. 03/11/14, 2:00 AM: Campus Police received a report from a New College Student regarding the theft of his locked bicycle from a bike rack near the Cook Library. The bike was registered with Campus Police and the serial number was entered in the National Crime Database. (2014-0241)

03/07/14, 10:19 AM: Campus Police received a report from USFSM Security regarding a theft of money from a purse belonging to a Life Long Learning Academy Student. Campus Police are continuing the investigation. A copy of the report will be sent to USFSM Administration and Student Services. (2014-0224)

03/03/14, 4:51 PM: Campus Police received a report from a New College Student regarding the theft of his skateboard from the Academic Center Building. The incident was documented.

02/26/14, 10:56 AM: Campus Police received a report from a New College Student in the Cook Library regarding a theft. The stolen item was entered into the National Crime Database and the matter remains under investigation. A copy of the report will be sent to Library Administration. (2014-0204)

02/15/14, 10:35 AM: Campus Police received a report from Ringling Museum Security regarding a suspicious subject on New College property. The non-affiliated subject was checked, issued a No Trespass Order and released. While driving his vehicle off of campus the subject was involved in a property damage crash in front of the Academic Building causing damage to the walkway area. The subject was subsequently taken to a local mental health treatment facility under a Baker Act. The subject will be charged with Careless Driving and Criminal Mischief in Sarasota County Court. A copy of the report will be sent to Physical Plant and Environmental Health and Safety. (2014-0165/2014-0166/2014-0167)

02/13/14, 1:45 PM: Campus Police located a non-affiliated subject in Parking Lot #1 East of Hamilton Center that had been previously issued a No Trespass Order. The subject was arrested for Trespass after Warning and transported to the Sarasota County Jail without incident.

02/05/14, 8:53 PM: Campus Police received a report from a New College Staff Member in the Cook Library regarding a suspicious person. Campus Police located the subject who is a USFSM Student. The Student was referred to USFSM Student Services for his involvement in two previous indecency issues from late 2013 that had occurred inside the Cook Library. The Student was released and the case remains under investigation. A copy of the report will be sent to USFSM Student Services, USFSM Administration, and NCF Library Administration. (2014-0131)

02/02/14, 7:41 PM: Campus Police received a report from a New College Student regarding a theft from her Pei Residence Hall East dorm room. The incident was documented. A copy of the report will be sent to Student Affairs. (2014-0126)

01/29/14, 9:16 AM: Campus Police received a report from a New College Physical Plant Staff Member regarding the theft of backpack blower from his campus vehicle parked in the shed area near Physical Plant. The serial number was entered into the national database. The matter remains under investigation. A copy of the report will be sent to Physical Plant and Environmental Health and safety. (2014-0113)

01/25/14, 4:39 AM: Campus Police stopped a vehicle in the fire lane near Z Green and after an investigation the non-affiliated driver was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. The subject was checked, issued a No Trespass Order and taken to the Sarasota County Jail. (2014-0097)

01/19/14, 9:44 PM: Campus Police received a report from a New College Student regarding the theft of her locked bicycle from the bike rack located near X Residence Hall. There were no serial numbers available and the bike could not be entered into the nationwide database. (2013-0081)
