Transcript
Request Instructions
General information
-
New
College of Florida transcripts must be requested through the Office of the
Registrar.

All
transcripts are official, and should be requested so that they are
sent directly to the recipient. If you need a
transcript sent to you in order to include with other information (such as
an application packet), you must indicate this on your request.

The transcript
bears a legend on the reverse side. The legend explains the New College academic program,
absence of grades and credit hours, selection criteria for
admission, accreditation, and honors status.

Narrative
evaluations are not included with transcripts, nor are they ever
translated into grades or grade point averages.

Transcripts
are usually processed within 48 hours after receipt of the
request (if received before 3:00 P.M.) except during peak
processing periods.
Payment Information

The
first two transcripts requested after August 26th, 2002 will be provided free of charge.
All subsequent transcripts will be provided at a fee of $5.00
each. Requests received without payment will not be processed.

Payment
for appropriate amount must be enclosed with all requests. Make
check payable to New College of Florida. Payments may also be
made by Visa, Master Card, or Discover. We are unable to accept
American Express. Payment by credit card can be made directly on
the Transcript Request Form.

Requests
cannot be processed until all financial
obligations to New College of Florida have been satisfied. Please
contact the Cashier's Office at (941) 487-4625 to resolve any
pending financial holds.
Requesting a Transcript

Fill out the form in
its entirety. Write clearly, sign and date the form.

Requests may also be faxed to (941) 487-4478. However, faxed
requests must be paid by credit card, as the payment must
accompany the request.

Federal
law requires a signed
authorization for release of your records. Therefore, telephone,
verbal, or email requests for transcripts are not accepted.

The
Office of the Registrar cannot process transcripts which are not received
properly, are illegible, or are not completely filled out.

to confirm reception of transcript
requests. If you would like to confirm that a transcript request was received

Delivery of Transcripts

Transcripts are sent by first class
U.S. postal mail service at no additional cost to the requestor. Any
delivery means, except for the first class U.S. postal service,
that incurs a payment will be arranged for and paid for by the
student. If you are interested in having your transcript sent
by a different delivery service, please call the Office of the
Registrar to inform of arrangements.

You
may also request that the transcript be held in the Office of
the Registrar for pick-up. If the transcript will be picked up by
someone other than you, you will need to write the person's
name on the request form. The individual will need to show
appropriate picture identification (e.g. valid driver's license)
in order for the transcript to be released.

Transcripts
that are picked up by the requestor, or designee, will be
provided in a sealed and stamped envelope. If you intend to
forward this transcript to a third party, please bear in mind
that by opening it, you may run the risk of the transcript not
being accepted by the third party as an official document.

The
Office of the Registrar does not fax or email transcripts, even if
the recipient is the requestor.
