Third Annual Thesis Showcase Scheduled for Friday, April 18 in Sudakoff Center
Thesis Showcase 2008 features colorful poster presentations, musical performances, a student film, and oral presentations by some of our area’s most talented College students, showcasing their original, independent research in the areas of natural and environmental science, economics, history, literature, politics, and more. Fulbright Scholarship winner Mariah Arnold will be among this year’s presenters. Her comparative research on the effects of wastewater effluent in the Myakka and Caloosahatchie Rivers caught the eye of Fulbright judges who awarded her a one year research scholarship to Malaysia next fall. While there, she will continue her studies of aquaculture and human impact on the environment. In all, more than two dozen graduating seniors will showcase their work at this year’s event.
