New College Welcomes 8th Annual Duke TIP Scholar Weekend March 10-11

(March 9, 2007) - This weekend, 66 academically gifted students in grades 8-11 will be on the New College of Florida campus taking challenging courses with New College faculty during the eighth annual Duke TIP Scholar Weekend.

The young scholars will be attending classes in College Hall, Heiser Natural Sciences Complex and in Palmer A.

Smile and say "hello" if you encounter them!

The Scholar Weekend program is open to eighth through 11th graders who have been identified as academically gifted through the Duke Talent Identification Program or through local school criteria. Thirteen students are receiving financial aid.
