POST JOBS & INTERNSHIPS
Posting Policy
Job descriptions
that are categorized as casual jobs (usually part-time, requiring very
basic skills) will be posted in the office job book, and occasionally on
the office webpage. Job descriptions with inadequate information about
the organization, individual, or contact will not be posted. Baby
sitting jobs are never posted online. As a rule, we do not post
telephone solicitation or canvassing positions.
The provider is responsible for
providing a description with:
-
Job or internship
title
-
Your organization's
name, if any
-
Organizational web
site, if any
-
Description of
responsibilities
-
Number of hours
desired per week
-
Salary per hour
($8-10/hr. is the typical range for most jobs)
-
Job location/distance
from campus
-
Qualifications
desired/required
-
Contact person's
name, phone number and/or email address
-
Include whether you
require a CV (resume) from the applicants
Send pertinent information to
Tawnya Bissell at
tbissell@ncf.edu.
Descriptions must be written and
provided by the person or organization posting the job, and should be
emailed. Positions that are eligible for posting but received only in
hard copy may not be posted. Career Services staff does not write job
descriptions for job providers.
Preference is always given to positions
offered by alums and New College affiliates, regardless of the position.
Preference extends as well to organizations, employers, and internships
providers with whom we’ve developed ongoing relationships spanning a
duration of time.
All job descriptions are categorized
and posted at the discretion of the office director.
We will review and consider posting all relevant jobs and internships at
no charge.
If approved for posting, positions will routinely
be posted within one week but may take longer.
