A bit about me

I graduated high school in Neptune Beach, FL, in ‘91.  After high school I went into the Navy, where I was a nuclear mechanic on the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise.  When I came to New College in 2000, I really enjoyed the freedom I had to explore things that interested me.  I started out taking a lot of literature courses but eventually focused on political science.  It was great to have the chance to try out two quite disparate fields before choosing between them.  I’ve also really enjoyed living in Sarasota.  The waves are a little flat on the Gulf coast (I love to surf), but I’ve enjoyed running and hockey while I’ve been here.  Plus, Sarasota has a small town feel to it, so you’re always running into someone you know.
